Reward yourself after completing something you've put off.

How to do it


Set out to accomplish a task you've been putting off, like scheduling an appointment, and then give yourself a small reward when the task is completed. You might treat yourself to a coffee break or indulge in reading your favorite blog. The reward can be small, but allow yourself some time to relax once your goal is accomplished.






Why it matters


Finding the balance between productivity and relaxation can reduce your stress and help you feel more motivated to move on to the next task. While there's usually no easy way around difficult or mundane tasks (unless you can afford to have someone do them for you, of course) you may be able to tackle them successfully with rewards -- rewarding yourself!
